Due to illness Lou Masduraud and Antoine Bellini had to cancel their performance. Nina Hitz and Lukas Simonis spontaneously accepted our invitation to fill the time slot – thanks a lot!!!
Short biographies: Lukas Simonis is a Dutch composer, improviser and writer, mainly active in experimental music and sound art. Besides his career as a musician he’s also involved with the Rotterdam-based avant-garde venue WORM, runs the music lab of this Institute for Avantgarde Recreation and he is one of the three people that organise stuff around the InstrumentsMakePlay-community.
Swiss born but Rotterdam based Nina Hitz is a cellist on gut strings. Plays baroque music but she also does experimental and theatrical performances and played in different avant rock bands. Her influences come from modern composed music, John Cage and the conceptual pieces from people like Christian Wolff, James Tenney and Manfred Werder.
Lukas and Nina played together in the avant-pop trio Liana Flu Winks and the improv/move group KRUK. Lately they work on film scores for ao. Jeanette Munoz (chili), Britt Al-Busaltan (fin/NL) and Woody van Amen (NL).
